Madde, originating from Scituate, MA, is a singer/songwriter who has been heavily involved in music her whole life. Self-taught on both guitar and piano and singing since before she could walk, she has always been a natural-born musician. Madde began writing her own music in middle school and, in turn, began searching for outlets to perform her songs, which she classifies as a pop-folk hybridization and is heavily influenced by her love of the ocean. Madde graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2013 with a degree in Music Education. Since graduating, Madde has become a regular in the South Shore open mic circuit and has been featured at establishments such as the Dogwatch in Scituate, The Tavern At The Post in Hanson, and The Red Parrot in Hull. She released her debut album, Windbound, in 2013 and is anticipating her sophomore album dropping some time in 2015. When she’s not performing, Madde teaches music lessons, directs the town sailing program in Scituate and spends time on her sailboat, Syzygy.
A locally-owned acoustic trio whose members fondly remember the first years of the South Shore Folk Music Club, Sachem Road unites three old friends after several decades of individual endeavors. The result is an eclectic musical buffet that runs the gamut from bluegrass, to folk, country, and even light hearted campfire nostalgia, and showcases the talents of Liz Sorel of Lakeville on fiddle, Bill Brown of Lakeville on banjo, dobro, and guitar, and Cathy Frizzell of Sandwich on guitar.
