The Rafters

The modern pop-folk duo of Miki and Dave Fitzgibbons AKA the Rafters met in college and have been playing shows all over the Northeast ever since. The Rafters’ music is built on a modern pallet of sound with a base of traditional, acoustic instruments. Their music blends modern sensibilities centered on classic folk themes of “real people and real things” Scott Alarik Boston Globe. Throughout their performance, Dave’s atmospheric guitar and tight vocal harmonies weave in and around Miki’s lead vocal which floats in a tone that is enveloping, compelling, authentic and without pretense.

Rick Drost by Denise Rick Drost

Cambridge singer-songwriter Rick Drost has been writing songs with depth and heart since the late ’60s: songs that with repeated listening convey a long love of classical music, natural wonders and poetry.  Although he has sung with large & small choruses and acoustic folk groups Rick is the most riveting as a solo performer.

His strong vocals reveal a tender quality that shines magnificently in each of his thoughtful songs.

Rick’s mentors are Vance Gilbert and David Wilcox; Dave has added Rick’s stunning song “Turning the World” to his repertoire.
