September 21 Coffeehouse with Che Pizarro and Mill City Growlers & Kevin Mason Opening

Che' Pazarro promo pictureChé Pizarro & The Mill City Growlers have been performing as a quartet for more than two years now. They mix acoustic and electric guitars, upright bass, saxophones, flute and harmonicas into a style that inhabits the shadows between jazz, blues and soul, with a touch of country creeping in here and there.

Ché Pizarro writes and sings lead vocal on nearly all of the songs but is often accompanied with three-part harmonies from the band. Some songs, of course, arise in equal parts from all of the Growlers, who include Mike Paolucci, Paul Curran and Don Barry. Both musically and lyrically, the songs of Ché Pizarro & The Mill City Growlers offer a sophisticated brew that rewards close attention.

Kevin Mason Plymouth singer songwriter Kevin Mason is looking forward to opening the night after gracing our Open Mike stage often last season.  Kevin’s influences are wide from Patty Griffin to Led Zeppelin, and he will be performing originals songs.
